Secret City Video Series Takes Augmented Reality App Form



We will soon be able to experience Secret City narratives in 3D. Using a series of programs including Cinema 4D, After Effects and Unity, artist Evan Apodaca takes motion data collected from in-person interviews and connects it to 3D models. The resulting animations will then be superimposed in public spaces and viewable through audiences' smart phones.

After completion of Que Lejos Estoy, filmmaker Evan Apodaca is taking on a new project called Secret City that critically analyzes how the military industry has been a conservatizing force within the San Diego region.
